whoisboxxy.com & whoisboxxy.info domains expiring

Update 8/15/2012: whoisboxxy.info is officially expired.  After a while (60 days perhaps?), it will be available to anyone to buy as if it never existed before.

Update 8/4/2012: whoisboxxy.com has been given away to the first (only) person to inquire about it.  There are 9 days remaining before whoisboxxy.info expires and is no longer under my control whatsoever.

Original post: When I first launched this site on August 13, 2011, it was called whoisboxxy.com

The same day I also bought the domains whoisboxxy.info and then boxxy.info and set it up so any web or email address of those 3 will redirect to one site.  Later that day I had decided it would be the simplest of those names to be the official site name, boxxy.info.  The other two were just empty redirects.

The 1 year anniversary of the launch of this website is just around the corner, so those 3 domains are expiring.  I have already renewed boxxy.info for another year, but nobody uses the other two so I’m just going to let them go when they expire Aug 13, 2012.

Or if anyone is interested in them, contact me and I’ll give either one or both away for free assuming you’re the only one interested; you’ll just have to pay your registrar for the transfer.  Nearlyfreespeech.net charges $9.49.  Or wait at least a couple of months when it becomes available to the public.

look alike

On Sept 9, 2011, in a previous post, I pointed out that in “Foar Ant,” Boxxy looks like Alyson Hannigan from shows such as “How I Met Your Mother.”

I found this video where a chick named Leah D’Emilio was talking about the same thing.  Leah happens to look like Cobie Smulders also from “How I Met Your Mother.”

I made a video commentary about it:

How I found my first Boxxy video

Hi, my name is David and before July August 2011 I had never heard of Boxxy.  Now I run this Boxxy website.

Before then, I may have seen some compilation youtube videos such as 100 Greatest Hits of YouTube in 4 Minutes which “My Name is Boxxy” is the very first thing in the video, just that I didn’t notice before.

I have been an occasional visitor to the site www.noob.us (no Boxxy there) where funny and cool videos are posted regularly with the occasional cute kitty or puppy video, and the commentators are all trolls sometimes trying to say clever things but usually just saying “first”. I often saw the comment, “Did he died?”  I was curious why so many different people using bad grammar were saying the same thing.  What is the source?  I wanted to know what that meme was; I just had never heard the word “Meme” before.

So I went to my good friend Google to search for it, the first result: knowyourmeme.com.  I read about it, learned about memes, and saw the line there that said, “Part of a series on Trolling.”

On the Trolling page, I saw this line:
Boxxy is widely considered an ‘accidental troll’, containing many features of a troll but without the purposefulness and true intent needed to make her an actual troll.

I was intrigued, thinking, Who is Boxxy and what do they mean by ‘accidental troll’?  That’s when on that page I saw the my first video featuring Boxxy:

The first thing I noticed: the still-frame, the excess eyeliner and the way she had her head tilted, and how cute she looked.  Then saw video of her talking, like all over the place.  This chick is pretty weird.  I liked how she moved her jaw to the side when she talked, and I noticed how bright her eye-whites seemed to be in relation to her eyeliner.  Plus I learned about the Boxxy situation where she had been hiding from the internet.  Intriguing.  That’s when I found Foar Everywun Frum Boxxy on her channel Boxxybabee which at the time had been recently returned to her.’

With all the people mimicking her, such as boxxyakamoldybread (I’ve never found out who this is) who she points out in Foar Everywun, and June (June’s channel), and then me being a Boxxy noob, and all the confusion of her account having been hacked, then her saying that the girl who hacked her ANewHopeee account looks very much like her (referring to herself as Svetlana).  At the time I thought she was referring to “Things are about to get intense“, also on AnewHopeee.  I did soon figure it is the same person in all these videos, despite many people believing her Svetlana rouse.

Catie reminded me of several different people.  In Foar Everywun, she reminded me of a pretty brunette actress I saw in several things about 10 years ago, one show being West WingI can’t remember who this actress is but Update Apr 29, 2016: it was probably Allison Janney that I was thinking of a couple of other people who remind me of that actress are Catherine Keener from “Being John Malkovich” and Aubrey Plaza.  Then in Foar Ant, Catie reminded me of Alyson Hannigan.  Someone else noticed the same thing.  As Svetlana, Catie was pretty well disguised.  As Catie in “Things are about to get Intense,” she looked totally different.

In addition, the fact that her new Boxxy video “Foar Svetlana” she was not looking and acting much like the 2008/2009 Boxxy.  She was trying too hard as if it wasn’t really the same person?  But really she was trying too hard to be like she was in 2009 before all the harassment ruined her life.

Then Calm Down Holden came out and she confirmed it was her in all those videos.  Some people are still skeptical.  She had yet another new look in this video as herself, not as Boxxy.  Since she is no longer any good at being like the old 2008/2009 Boxxy, I would not be too disappointed if she never plays Boxxy again, but I definitely want to see more videos of her being herself.  Some of the Boxxyness comes through when she gets excited in her 19th birthday videos.  After seeing all her videos multiple times and many of her pictures, I can now easily immediately recognize if a picture or video is of her or someone else trying to be her.  I’ll make another post later about imitators.  I made an earlier post describing why I know all the videos in the category “Catie’s original videos” are actuall of Catie.  (One observation being as I was writing the subtitles to her videos, that the things you normally don’t notice such as “uh, um, & but um yeah” are consistent in all her videos over the years.)

Boxxy is not a fake

Even after Catie posted the video Calm down Holden to explain things for those who were still confused, there were still people who thought that one or more video currently on one of Catie’s 3 official channels are fake.  So I’m here to fight disinformation with facts that can be easily checked by anyone so they can make up their minds on their own.

If you are reading this, you probably have seen all of Catie/Boxxy’s official videos plus a small portion of the many remix videos out there on Youtube.  But if you haven’t watched all of Boxxy’s official videos, I suggest you do, in order either before or after reading the rest of this, to be best informed.  The most convenient way to watch all official videos in order, is go to the Catie official videos category, scroll down to FOAR 4DDI FRUM BOXXY & FOAR ANT FUM BOXXY, watch those 2 videos, and work your way up to the top of the page.

I will admit, I may not have all my facts straight, so I encourage you to look at the information on the other Boxxy websites.  The links are on the right-side sidebar.

Okay, so Catie had the youtube channel S4TISF4CTION and boxxybabe (with one e).  In January 2009 when Boxxy videos became popular (and became unpopular to others), Catie shut down boxxybabe out of fear of the situation, hackers, stalkers, and all.  Then she must have decided to put them back up.  Youtube never allows someone to open an account with the same name as an account that has existed before, so she used the name boxxybabee with 2 e’s.

Both S4TISF4CTION and boxxybabee got hacked in Jan 2009.  She still hasn’t gotten S4TISF4CTION back, and probably never will.  It only had 2 videos which never were insanely popular like the Boxxy videos.  If you look at the S4TISF4CTION account, you will see that the only Youtube channels who S4TISF4CTION are subscribed to are the other accounts of the hackers who hacked her accounts.  Anon77, gastricpenguin, Zarithas, and Eyrev1.

By Nov 2010, Catie wanted her boxxybabee account back.  She created ANewHopeee, asked her fans to help get Youtube to get her account back to her, but you can not see her well enough to tell that it is her, and can hear her speaking from a script she wrote.  (subtitles)  So, none of the uh’s, um’s, ah’s, but uh yeah’s, and stutters that are littered throughout all of her other videos.  The kinds of things that you tend to not hear when you are just listening to what she has to say.  Some new account was created with one video in it; why should anyone consider this was really Boxxy as was claimed in the video?  These photos are why.

She uploads Things are about to get Intense on January 10 2011 to ANewHopeee Youtube channel, appearing on a lower resolution webcam, and for the first time, as Catie not as Boxxy.  A lot of people don’t think this person is the same as the older Boxxy videos.  Listen carefully to the way she talks, read the subtitles, you can tell it’s her.

The third video appears on ANewHopeee (subtitles), this time with a girl with a blond wig and a different accent, claiming she hacked into ANewHopeee’s youtube account.  It’s a good disguise but you can tell by the way she talks, that this is the same person.

Another account is created called bodaciousboxxy, and only one video exists on this account.  It is Boxxy making her first appearance as Boxxy in almost 2.5 years.  She must want to keep the Boxxy videos separate from the Catie videos, but boxxybabee is still under control by the hackers.  She is totally different than the 2009 Boxxy.  She’s older, has gained a little weight, more lighting in the video, her personality is different, and she is talking really fast, and is trying too hard to be the Boxxy she used to be.  But to me, I can tell it is still obviously the same person.  Since this is in HD, you can compare some of her facial features to old photos, and that she has the same trouble with um’s, uh’s, stutters, and things like that.  She further confuses people saying to Svetlana that ANewHopeee isn’t her, when in reality that is her as Svetlana and as Catie in Things are about to get intense.

A commentary about this confusion:

After this, she finally gets her boxxybabee account back.  She links all 3 accounts together on Youtube, puts a copyright notice in the description of each video in all 3 channels boxxybabee, ANewHopeee, and bodaciousboxxy, and reuploads the Boxxy return video “FOAR SVETLANA FRUM BOXXY“, this time to the boxxybabee account.  And finally since some people are still confused, uploaded the video of Catie explaining it, on Catie’s now main channel ANewHopeee.  (subtitles).  Obviously the same person for the same reasons above.
